This is how newspapers are made

Do you know that newspapers are also printed on real paper? This is what a rotary printing press is used for. DASA is home to such a machine which dates from 1926. It was able to print and fold up to 10,000 four-sided, monochrome newspapers per hour. It may have been reliable, but the printers paid the real price for their efforts. See for yourself, listen carefully and find out what people really mean when they say "heavy as lead".

Tip for discoverers:
Make your own postcard and, with the help of our experts, print with real ink on a historical press from the 1950's.
